What stories does your data have to tell?

Dashboard Mockup

Data—big or small—has stories to tell if you know how to find them. The most memorable and impactful stories are told through relevant insights blended with clear and meaningful visualizations. Understanding and unlocking the ability to use data enables your business to better meet today's needs while fueling growth for tomorrow.

Magick partners with you to leverage (and profit from) the data assets, software tools, and business processes your company already uses.

How We Help

Flex Date example

Our technomancers have been called to stand against the Dark Forces of drugerous business processes, unfriendly and outdated product interfaces, and the legions of manual and repetitive data-entry tasks. We've learned from these sub-optimal experiences and discovered there are far better ways to use the Power of Technology in magickal ways to work smarter, not harder.

Magick has a spell book full of problem-solving methods, awareness of best practices to use (and those to avoid), and the technical know-how to conjure custom solutions for the challenges facing your business.

Solution Discovery

Growing your business requires a holistic analysis of your processes, customer and employee experiences, market segmentation, product development, customers' behaviors, marketing channels, etc…

We recognize the challenge of juggling all these moving parts and can help you prioritize the most important. With these priorities in mind, we can then help you drill deep and uncover the best path forward.

Storytelling with Data Visualization

Whether it's crafting visually compelling presentations, writing functions and macros for human-understandable spreadsheets, or architecting adaptive workflows and bespoke data pipelines, Magick works hand-in-hand with you, using the tools you're already familiar with.

With (literal) decades of time in the trenches crafting end-to-end experiences for consumers and enterprises, our Experience Designers can confidently guide you through the foggy highlands of cutting-edge tech.

It shall be then, when spreadsheet values no longer match their assigned column type, charts read as gibberish, and the deadline is nigh, a faithful daemon will carry a petition for assistance to those strong in the Magick. For once they are summoned, the problem will be solved. And there will be much rejoicing. From the 'Prophecy of Excelsium', 1218 C.E.

About Magick Data Sciences

Table Example

Magick's origin story revolves around a central tenant: a shared love of helping others solve problems. Some people have a passion for sports, playing poker, or cultivating rare orchids. We do too, but generally not as much as we like digging into a new data set, optimizing a costly legacy business process, or discovering a new way to make complex information accessible to anyone.

So we packed up our corporate bag of tricks, donned our enchanted robes, and set out into the World with the mission of turning our experience and curiosity into quality of life improvements for people who spend their days toiling with the oft-forgotten and overlooked parts of business—spreadsheets, databases, back office tools.

Along the way we've encountered like-minded people who know how to discover, document, design, and engineer unique solutions for our clients, in ways which can only be described as magickal.

Meet the Founders

Vas Paruchuri

As a data scientist, portfolio manager, and developer, Vas focuses on generating practical business solutions from complex data sets. He has an interdisciplinary background spanning theoretical physics to finance to software development. Vas has an easy approach to breaking down problems and communicating solutions in a plain-spoken manner.

In his free time, Vas enjoys teaching young people how to enjoy solving problems and become life long learners.

Vas has a B.S.E. from Cornell University in Applied Physics and a Ph.D. from Harvard University in Physics.

Ben Rossi

Ben is an information artist, UX developer, product evangelist, and problem solver with over 20 years of practical experience and endless curiousity. With a background in design and software development for complex systems, Ben has achieved recognized success in large, multinational organizations, as well as small start-up environments across a diverse set of industries.

When he's not untangling (usually undocumented) internal processes, crafting engaging experiences, or proposing novel solutions for business challenges, Ben can be found in his workshop.

Ben has a B.A. Art and Visual Technology from George Mason University.
